After Dan got married, he was truly welcomed into his new family. This was a source of great pride because he really valued family.

Dan had 2 brothers. Of those he was the most like his dad. That was a good thing. His dad preceded him in death. Dan and his parents shared a special connection and throughout Dan's life there were never any problems in the parent department.
